Shot in the side during protests in Lahijan, near Enghelab Square. A witness reported that he went to help a woman who had been shot in the leg, and he was shot in the side, with the bullet exiting his abdomen. His body was initially withheld by authorities before his father forcibly retrieved it and took it to the cemetery. He was a hairdresser from Lahijan and a resident of Zomidan village.
