Mohammad Hamed Ghazeghan

18-year-old teenager from the village of Qazqan near Miami road, Mashhad. Shot in the leg by suppression forces during protests on Boulevard Hor, Shahid Rajaei town, Mashhad on 19 Dey, and arrested at the scene. Family was kept in the dark for weeks, told he was alive and could be freed for a bribe. On 12 Bahman, his body was handed over showing signs of severe torture, burns from an iron, beating marks, and a coup de grâce gunshot to the head. His body was so damaged it was barely recognizable; his mother identified him only by an old childhood mark. Authorities pressured the family to bury him silently without a ceremony, threatening to withhold the body otherwise, but a large crowd gathered at his burial in his home village of Qazqan, causing the officers to flee.
